Gentle Aromatherapy for Prenatal Care

Aromatherapy can be safely included in prenatal massage using pregnancy-safe essential oils that are specially diluted and selected. These natural scents gently enhance relaxation and emotional balance.

Here are some aromatherapy options that may be used (with your consent and under RMT guidance):

Lavender – Calming and soothing; helps reduce anxiety, tension, and sleeplessness.

Citrus (e.g., sweet orange or bergamot) – Uplifting and energizing; supports mood balance and emotional clarity.

Chamomile – Gentle and comforting; eases stress, irritability, and may help with insomnia.

Only essential oils that are proven safe for pregnancy are used, and your RMT will discuss all options with you beforehand. Aromatherapy is optional and customized to your preferences.

Insurance Coverage

All prenatal massage treatments, including those enhanced with aromatherapy, are performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and are eligible for coverage through most extended health insurance plans or your Health Spending Account (HSA).
